This timeline covers all stages, including preparing the surfaces, primer application, painting, and allowing adequate drying time. We plan the project to minimize disruption to your daily routine, offering a clear schedule and keeping you informed of the progress. Factors like humidity, complexity of the cabinet designs, and additional services (like changing hardware) can affect this timeline.

We recommend installing under cabinet lighting after the painting process to avoid any potential damage to the new paint. However, if installation before painting is necessary, we take extra precautions to protect the new fixtures during the painting process. Coordination with electricians is also part of our service, ensuring that all installations are seamless and do not interfere with the quality of the cabinet finish.

Countertops can be installed before or after cabinet painting, though we advise doing it beforehand. This method enables us to precisely mask and shield your countertops, be they old or new, during the painting process, aiding in the prevention of accidental paint spills or damage. It also contributes to a clean, precise finish where the countertop interfaces with the cabinetry. However, please ensure that un-paintable silicone caulk is not applied to your wood cabinet surfaces, especially at the edges near the countertops, as this is a common practice and can be detrimental to the cabinet’s finish. If the countertops are installed post-painting, we are committed to taking every measure necessary to maintain the integrity of your newly painted cabinets.

You can install your backsplash at any time, as it typically requires minimal direct contact with the finished areas of your cabinets. It’s usually straightforward for the contractor to maintain cleanliness in these areas during installation.

Refinishing hardwood floors can be done either before or after our services, with customers experiencing positive outcomes in both scenarios. The key is choosing a contractor who is dedicated to quality work and takes great care of your home. Whether you opt for refinishing before or after cabinet painting, the results can be equally successful with the right contractor.

It’s optimal to install new appliances after completing cabinet painting to avoid exposure to paint fumes and spills. However, installation before painting is also feasible. We do not handle gas line or plumbing disconnections. If painting is needed behind ovens or dishwashers, these should be disconnected and removed beforehand. If there are concerns about moving appliances, please let us know; we’re cautious to avoid major issues.

Your presence is not required during the entire painting process, but being accessible for consultation or decision-making is beneficial.
